How to make a barcode

  1. Pick the format your shop, marketplace or scanner asks for.
  2. Type the number or text. The barcode redraws as you type.
  3. Download it as PNG for documents, SVG for label printing, or print it straight away.

Which barcode type do I need?

EAN-13 is the retail barcode outside North America. Use it for products sold in shops and on marketplaces, with the number your GS1 membership gives you.

UPC-A is the retail barcode in the US and Canada. It carries 12 digits.

EAN-8 is the short retail barcode for small packs where EAN-13 does not fit.

Code 128 is the best choice for your own stock: shelf labels, SKUs and box numbers. It carries letters and digits and stays compact.

Code 39 is an older code still asked for by some warehouses and industry systems. It carries capital letters and digits.
